What’s Happening this Weekend
Although the summer wedding season has tapered off, Popolo remains bustling with weekend events. This Saturday, we have three weddings scheduled. The Popolo teams are eagerly heading to Big Sur. As well as closer to home at Hartley Farms, and the Four Sisters Winery both venues in San Miguel. The teams are prepped and ready for an exciting weekend.

During my recent week in California, I had the opportunity to assist in the Popolo kitchen. Chef Kenny, my brother, asked if I could pick up the bread order. Naturally, I agreed. However, when I proudly walked in with two small boxes, he looked at me and asked, “There’s more in the car, right?” I could sense from his tone that there should have been more. He chuckled and informed me that I had made a “rookie mistake” by not checking the invoice before I left. So, back I went to Splash Café to acquire the freshly baked sourdough rolls. It was quite amusing when I returned with the correct number of rolls. The box was enormous and had I glanced at the invoice, I would have noticed my severe underestimation. This is precisely why I handle blogs and social media while Chef Kenny leads the kitchen.
